As I age, I come to terms with the fact that there is this major aspect of womanhood I will never experience. I will most likely never give birth and consequently I will never know what it is like to breastfeed. Of course I have the equipment to participate if I choose, but without the desire or interest what is it if I never use it, ornamental? And so naturally, I find this traditionally definitive aspect of being a woman sort of alien. The magic of bringing forth another being into this world through our feminine vessel is wholly unbelievable and amazing.
